Green Lake/Borland Pass   

Green Lake is a three hour walk from the Borland road.  MAP.
From the lake, there are good day tramps. Also swimming and paddling possible.

To Monowai Saddle and above

Good views of the lake can be had by following the track south to the saddle, and then following the ridge north.

Good views of the lake can be had climbing the snowgrass slope northeast of the lake to the ridge.
